Sharing a budget
Invite someone
Each budget has one owner: the person who made it, unless they've handed it to someone else. Only the owner can share it.
- Open Settings and choose Sharing for the budget.
- Enter the person's email address and choose a role.
- Send the invitation by email, or copy the link and send it yourself.
An invitation works once, for 7 days, and only for the email address it was sent to: the person signs in with that Google account to accept it. You can resend or revoke it until it's used.
A budget can have up to 20 people, counting invitations that haven't been accepted yet.

The owner's plan covers the budget, so everyone in it can use it without a plan of their own.
Bank connections
Only the owner connects banks to a budget, through their own SimpleFIN account or Sync plan, and chooses which accounts sync. Editors can sync the connected accounts and review what comes in.
Handing the budget to someone else
To make someone else the owner, they need to be in the budget already. In Sharing, choose Make owner beside their name. They're asked to accept, by email and the next time they open Pensum, and you can take the offer back until they do. The offer lasts 14 days.
When they accept, they become the owner and you become an editor. Their plan covers the budget from then on, and it counts as one of the budgets they own. Every bank connection in the budget ends, because a connection belongs to the person who made it: the accounts and their history stay, and the new owner can connect their own banks.
If they already own as many budgets as they can, they can't accept until they delete or hand over one of theirs.
Leaving or removing someone
The owner can change anyone else's role or remove them from Sharing. Editors and viewers can leave a budget at any time. The owner can't leave their own budget: hand it to someone first, or delete it. Access ends right away, and the owner can invite them back.
