Left to assign is negative
Over-assigned (Left to assign in red) means you've assigned more money than you have this month. Lower some assigned amounts until it's back to zero.
If you didn't expect it, check these, in order:
- Assigned too much. Look at this month's Assigned total against Income and Carried in.
- Last month was over-assigned too. It carries into this month. Hover or tap Carried in to see.
- A category set to start fresh was overspent last month. Its overspending comes out of this month. See Month-end rules.
- Income isn't counted. A paycheck still in Needs review, categorized to a category instead of income, or marked Income for next month, doesn't count toward this month.
- You added a credit card with a balance. That balance is subtracted from what you have to assign. See Credit cards.
