Plans and billing
Your plan is in Settings → Your plan. Prices are on the pricing page once paid plans are available; during early access, everything is free.
Who pays
Only budget owners. People you share a budget with use it free, on the owner's plan. A budget stays editable while its owner has a plan.
Choose, change or cancel
- Choose a plan in Settings. Payment goes through Stripe; Pensum never sees your card. Subscribing during a free plan charges nothing until it ends.
- Change plans any time in Settings.
- Cancel any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then doesn't renew. You can resume before then.
- Cards and receipts: open Stripe's billing page from Settings.
Plans renew automatically until you cancel. Payments aren't refunded, so if you're not sure yet, start monthly and switch to yearly later.
When a plan ends
You get reminders before a free plan ends, and two weeks of warnings after a plan ends or a payment fails. Then the budgets you own become read-only: nothing is deleted, and you can still look at them, export them, or delete them. Choose a plan any time to pick up where you left off.
Price changes
Price changes are emailed at least 30 days ahead, and apply at your next renewal after that.
